Gumbo, Kitties, and Ben-Gays...?

I was not planning on returning to Louisiana unless it was mardi gras season or something. .....But SunArcher Photography wooed me with tales of Gumbo. I left Hot Springs and detoured to Shreveport.

Tim's house was a nice stop-off. We shot all day - which is always a hard thing for me. After about three hours, I start drifting off..... But we changed locations six times, which helped a lot. It is always nice to shoot with someone who is still completely excited over photography - I mean, like little kid, almost jumping up and down excited..... I love that. It keeps you going and puts you in a good mood.

Now I am in Dallas staying with Randy and Mr. Kitty....Last time I was here, Matthew was with me. I remember when he crawled into bed the first night - he said, "Your life is just insane. I cannot believe you just sleep in a different house every night....." Ha, and that just made me giggle.... I love this place. Randy is great company, he is a dancing man, we watch American Idol together, he lets me sleep in until 11am.... let me tell you, if you can sleep-in at someone's house until 11am and still feel welcome - that place is a good place to be.

Well, if it's your day off, enjoy it- BREATHE! From your blogs, it sounds like you have been sprinting all over the south.

:) Us Southerners know that you can't make up those names that I gave you. But London is referring to foods such as:

- boudain;
- andouille sausage;
- etoufée; and
- beignets.

London kept calling them "bunyons." lol So my wife says, "It's like saying 'Ben-Gays,' but with a y sound instead of the g."

You were a joy to work with, and my excitement was definitely from working with a model as diverse, skilled, and attractive as yourself. My wife wants you here as her personal teddy bear. Get a move on! lol

You better not invite me back, I might steal her as MY personal teddy bear... : )

And again - those names! You are killing me with those crazy names.... !!

Where do you get all this energy from girl? Can't you stay still in one place for more than a day? What's your secret? Please share with us...PLEASE??

Energy. I must admit, it comes and goes.... When I surround myself with good people - their positive outlook on photography and modeling, rubs off on me. It fuels me....if I am not around people like that, though - this job is really incredibly hard.....

There is no other secret than just really concentrate on what you want..... I want to be happy, I want to see the world... and I do not want a real job right now - therefore, I do my best to make this one work....

You are working on something you enjoy. More power to you. Some of us are not so lucky.

London-

I enjoyed you visit. Sorry I missed your departure, but I wanted to let you sleep and I had a meeting with a new client.

You are welcome any time you are in town. Thanks for the nice words.

Prince, that's too rich! What I wouldn't give to be back in Nawlins, havin beignets and coffee next to the river.

I once took my Buffalo, NY born and raised brother in law to New Orleans. I had more fun just watching him. He was like a hog looking at a wrist watch.

lol @ Jim. If I had my mind right, I would have taken London over to the Circle K where the crawfish man parks his trailer. Hedz Up...LOVE their mudbugs! London, you need to come back down and try some. :)

That's a picture I'm not quite ready for: London with half a mudbug in her mouth, pinchin' tail.

Hi London,

I stumbled upon your blog and kept reading until I thought I would hit Louisiana.

Saying "bengays" instead of "benyays" is hilarious. I'm born and raised in New Orleans so it was a kick for me to read about your escapades in Shreveport.

As far as the mega church . . . I got a big kick out of that everytime I've visit Shreveport. We've got nothing on Texas, though!!!

Sounds like a fun trip!!! Go for it!!!
