Sweet Cherry Pie.

My Valentine's Day shoot with Eric Paul Owens went swimmingly well. As predicted, I found myself smothered in an assortment of supermarket pies - Cherry pies, apple pies, blueberry pies- pies pies pies! Pies toppling through the air.... smashing, smushing, splattering. Pie in my ear, pie crust on my butt! Wish I could say that was my first time getting hit in the face with cool-whip... At least I can say that it was my first time getting hit with cool-whip while standing in a kiddie pool! If Eric lived closer, I would drag him to his studio all the time - He put me in such a great mood when I needed the pick-me-up pretty badly.

It has been, yet again, another crazy drama filled week. It seems that there is a model that has 'issues' with me.... Never had a problem with another girl in the biz before. Not sure how to approach it... As usual, I have been avoiding it. But now she is emailing photographers.... just low-balling and dirty. Most of my photographers are people that I have come to know on a long-term basis, they are friends, they are people that I keep in touch with.....I would never refer to anyone as a "cash cow". If you get that email, please know that such a horrible degrading phrase never came out of my mouth. Blah. I cannot help it when I hear her name in conversation these days, I have such a hard time coming up with good things to say ..... And while there are a million positives to this business..... the negatives, far and few, still hang like deadweights on my brain.

Spending the next few days in town with the boyfriend, hoping we can get some people over to the house to play a mean game of Apples to Apples.

I did not work on your photos because...

Traveling through the midwest last year, I worked with a photographer somewhere off the map. Had a huge studio with a make-up artist, a hairstylist - In addition to payment, he also agreed to send me a couple photos from the shoot.... Since his fulltime job is shooting huge commerical gigs and billboards, that last part was very exciting for me.

Six months go by - Randomly think about him - drop him an email - no photos. A year goes by, I drop him another email - no photos. No biggie. Sucks but it happens... Yesterday, out of the middle of nowhere.... I received this email (note: it is a little disgusting)

"Dear London,
The reason it took me so long to retouch one of your photos is because you are so f***ing HOT! Every time I just looked at the photos (please don't be too disgusted) you made me come in my pants, within seconds (no touching, just London, schwing, spurt)!! You are the only girl that has caused that to happen to me since I was 14 years old! I just had to spend some time away from the wife and kids with a big box of kleenex and get the job done. : ) Please don't think this is some weird come on, it's just weird, but it's not a come on. : ) I actually would love to work with you again, if we do I'll wear depends and try not to make too much noise. Seriously I hope you are not too grossed out by all this, I would LOVE to photograph you again, I would never make a pass at you or anything, but I probably would be sporting wood, and be horribly embarrassed, and have to kill myself."

Now that is an honest answer (although it is also something I would prefer he kept to himself). Gross.

Virtual Bucks!

Remember LivePerson.com, that crazy site I was telling you about a few weeks ago where you can talk to all kinds of 'experts' and 'gurus'.... Well this evening they sent me a $10 gift card for Valentine's Day..... Figured it would be wasteful not to use it, right?....

For my virtual $10, I hired a very studly looking psychic. He was moderately priced at $4.99 a minute. As requested, I gave him my god-given name and birthdate so he could 'feel me out'... I then commenced to implore him for answers about my future as a nude-model. His reply was this:

"What you have experienced has been part of your destiny. Unusual to many, but it was spot-on what you where supposed to do ; -)

You did not ask it, but I am here to let you know, age is not something that will affect your career in a Negative way!!! I am seeing, that you will continue doing this type of work and other work that is related to modeling. You will be surprised to know that some of the modeling is Dressed. ; - )

I feel that you will drift a little. I am seeing in the near future, a business in which you will be taking- - - - - - - "

And my two minutes ended and I was cut off. "A business in which you will be taking- - - - " Hmmm. Wonder where he was going with that.

Mostly Malibu

While I did not get to drive up the coast (due to some BS rules dealing with the car rental place)... I did get to hang out in Malibu a lot this week..... which, in some cases.... is just as good, if not better than driving up the PCH...

First trip out to Malibu was about five days ago. I drove out to shoot with rockstar-lady Zoe Wiseman.... Zoe is a former nude-art model who switched sides of the camera a few years ago.... She also set up the Zoe-festival, which is a photography festival held out here in California every year. I friggin love that girl! She shot me with her Holga with a Polaroid backing. 'Tis the most magical little piece of camera gear I have seen in quite a long time... almost better than a Mamiya with a Digital backing... ha... almost....

Zoe and I shot on top of a windy mountain overlooking the city of Malibu - It was sunny out. I climbed on rocks, she shot pretty pictures. We attracted a caravan of female convicts all dressed up in their orange-jumpsuits about a quarter mile away (no joke)..... The girls were hootin and hollerin at my naked-self.... I was jumping around and trying to entertain them...

Saturday I was supposed to shoot with Sita Mae Edwards at Lenny's place, but in a very' Sita-type-moment' she forgot her lighting system... *sad face for me*. Instead, the two of us grabbed some dinner over on Larchmont. We talked about Fuck-Me shoes and boys.... Here another girl whom I love.... She is so genuine, it flows out of her eyeballs and her mouth and her soul... it is rejuvenating. If you are in the business of photography, I am telling you that your life will not be complete without meeting Sita. Her and I were going to spend a night going out on the town together this week but I ran out time - I ran out of time with a lot of things, actually.... Perhaps in April.

Headed back to Malibu again on Sunday morning - Shot some Glamour on the beach. Very tame, cute-sy stuff in my bathing suit. While I did have a good time with the photographer, I must say.... that I really loathe bathing suit shoots.... they make me uncomfortable a million times over - all those people on the beach - And I am just not a bikini model. I do not strive to be one. From now on, I am only going to do naked beach shoots or bust (or naked shoots with my bust...ha!).... Swimsuits! I do not like them Sam I am.

Shot with Sean Armenta, that same Sunday, after the Malibu shoot........ once again, another very hot skater boy.... totally gorgeous and talented and real and wonderful with his amazing colorful Mohawk *sigh* A little piece of me is completely in love with that boy. If I lived in LA, I would befriend him and become a Sean Armenta groupie. I would watch him skate and we would go out for sushi on the weekends.... Perhaps, I would even intern for him to learn all his photography skillz... that is how awesome he is.

Without offending anyone, the photos that Sean and I took - are simply some of my favorite photos to date..... classy, moody, romantic..

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, headed back to Cleveland Ohio.... I miss Patrick really badly, as I always do. But I cannot help but feel claustrophobic about going back to Ohio - I hope the snow melts soon...

Photos: Mark and I shooting girly stuff on the beach in Malibu! Sunny 75 degrees and counting!

Engel's Suspension...

By chance, I happened to find time to hang out with Engel the other night. The two of us picked up some In and Out Burger (which is always a pleasure and a guilt-trip both at the same time). From there, Engel and I headed over to her friend Don's place.

First time meeting Don, who is also a photographer among his many other talents.... He is also an attractive lifestylist, a Dom, and an incredibly talented Shabari artist.....

In case you are not down with the Shabari lingo, I ripped this from Don's profile: "Shibari (しばり, Shibari?) is a Japanese word that literally means 'to tie' or 'to bind'. It is used in Japan to describe the artful use of twine to tie objects or packages. Kinbaku (緊縛, Kinbaku?) is the word for 'bondage' or Kinbaku-bi which means 'beautiful bondage'. Kinbaku (also Sokubaku) is a Japanese style of sexual bondage or BDSM which involves tying up the bottom using simple yet visually intricate patterns, usually with several pieces of thin rope usually hemp or jute (generally 6 mm or 8 mm in diameter). The word Shibari came into common use in the west at some point in the 1990s to describe the bondage art Kinbaku."

Since Engel brought me to DonSir (a Dom), and she too is a lifestylist (a Sub), he rewarded her with a Beating - something that I have never had the chance to witness so closely. Over the years I have watched many a session - NYC clubs, fetish get-togethers, private parties at the Con - but never have I been in such close proximity to the sound of the whip cracking, the smack of flesh on flesh, the welts, the heat, the energy that you cannot help but to feed off of. It was quite erotic.... the music, the moaning, the flogging, the spanking..... I am not much a lifestylist, but if I was on the other end of that whip, I would have been begging to be fucked wildly after that..... All that pain .... needs some kind of reward...

Anyways, he beat Engle for awhile and then we all hung out and chatted and giggled and he tied me up in pretty ropes.... we took lots of photos.... Engel and I spent so much time laughing during the shoot - at least half the photos are nothing but great rope work and giggly girls. He suspended Engel from the ceiling for awhile.... this gorgeous, tall, slim, six foot woman, hanging upside down in the livingroom. The shoot went really well, it was really fun - Excited to see how the photos turn out....
