Know what I do when I get homesick?

........I go see a movie. ...... Because when you are sitting in a movie theater, you could be anywhere...

Three days now - still cloudy in Portland. Went to go see Sex in the City yesterday. Struck of conversation with this cute guy behind the popcorn counter.... ate free popcorn. After the movie, he slipped me a note with his number and a little shining smiley drawing of a sun... which said underneath, "Bring the Sun Out." That has to be close to the cutest thing that a guy has slipped me with his number on it... 'first place' goes to number written on a band-aid. A Band-Aid - I still have it, somewhere.

Saw a truck this morning full of donkeys. It said, "Hauling Ass" on the side.

It's kind of makes it weird when you leave the movie and don't recognize where you are, especially if it's at night. "Dude, who moved my town? It was right here . . ."

It's ok... I never know what town I am in anyways. : ) Sometimes I think I am in Arizona, and then I remember that I am in California, wait no.... perhaps I am in Vegas... I do not know. : )

The strangest feeling I've ever had after a movie was when Close Encounters of the Third Kind first came out (yeah, I'm dating myself). I went to see it with some buddies. When we went in, it was still daylight, but two hours later, after seeing the mothership take off into the black Wyoming sky (I hope I didn't give the ending away for anybody), we walked out into the night. I swear we honestly were searching the sky for that damn mothership.

If its a good movie, I do not want to leave. 1. Because it was a great experience, & 2. Sometimes I dont want to face whatever is on the otherside of the door. Movies are safe-havens. Did the sun come out yet?

Well, you'll get your sunshine today, and yesterday afternoon wasn't too bad either. I got the wife to finish planting those flowers we were using in the shoot.

With any luck, I might be able to shoot the woodland fairy this afternoon - that is if the model ever calls back.

Have a great shoot today, and I hope to see you tonight!

Cinema is a good place. It makes a lonely atmosphere for every in it, especially when the movie is interesting. But you are not alone in the cinema. There are much people near you with their emotions and so on. As for me it's the only lack of the cinema. I love to be more alone.

P.S. Maybe cup of beer with friends is better to go away from a homesick? ;)

Hey Andy? Are you Andy from Vegas? And I think beer goes well with just about anything - it is my vice... : )

No, heh. I'm not from US :)
I'm just watching on your "On The road" :)
It's very interesting to observe how you describe different places. Every state has much difference in culture, behaviour and so on. This is so attractive. I'm in waiting for you next post to know which place you visted and what place it was for you.
