Death Valley and the 13 hour drive...

Not sure if you ever watch five naked models - but Samantha brought up a great point this week - I think it happens to all of us. As a model, you love the attention when you first start modeling - you feed off the compliments, and then a few months in you grow to resent the attention - and if you are me, you grow to hate it. I mean.. When a guy walks up to me in a bar or a gas station or my hotel to tell me that he is into me, my first reaction is to vomit - I suppose that is not the best way to meet people though - so I am working on it.

Made it to Death Valley and Sequoia - drove 13 hours yesterday - just about died as I pulled into Stockton California.... super tired. Still have two more shoots tonight... and then San Fran! Hope everyone is doing well...

Good move. A person does not want to join the army when there is alot flyng around. You do it on a clear head.
Hope Tracy can make the trip with you. Sounds like you found a good one. How long did it take you & Goldie to get down the Canyon? Another good move. Some may think its selfish, but lookout for yourself right now. Keep finding & enjoying new experiences.
Good to hear you are going back to Frisco. I told you last month that you have unique occupational hazards. I think you can add constantly being hit on. Glad to hear that you are trying to break the habit. We dont want to read you got locked up for knocking some guy out.
13 Hours, thats tough. Get some sleep! :)

I'm at the stage where I am just tired of it. When a man tells me he likes me, I look at him and say okay cool. Most think I am nuts because I have no reaction to it.

I will say being a model has made me very numb to anything shocking when it comes to men, nudity, and fetishes. But it has made me open up to simple pleasures like spending a day in bed reading a book and snacking on fruit. It's funny what you apperiate after being on the road.

"I want to punch him in the face and claw his eyeballs out. I suppose that is not the best way to meet people though"

Funny you should say that as that is how Mrs Alfred and I got together. The plastic surgery fixed everything on my face, and we lived happily ever after. :)

But you are probably right, it may not work for everybody.

Tracy is awesome because she is so low key and easy to be around - traveling with other people is really difficult to me, unless I am really comfortable with them being in my life - I think she would fit really well - she is good people.

Goldie... was a really great mule, she used to be the trail guide mule so she is one of the smartest and best that they had in the group. She also had the most gas, and kept farting on the guy behind me.

8am-2pm.... It usually takes four hours to get to the bottom of the canyon on the mules, but we had a really slow mule in the group... no matter how many times the little girl hit her mule with her "mule motivator" - the thing just did not want to move.

I have always lived my life very selfishly.... and always believed that you shouldn't ruin anyone else's selfish experience either. But.... I am second guessing myself now, I don't know if being selfish is the best thing anymore. I mean, I am happy living my life the way that I do - but on the other side of it, I definitely lost one of my closest friends... and believe me, I don't have many other close friends to lose. What is more important?

I have a really fun tour guide for San Fran this week!!! - I am really excited about that - because last time I did not get to see much. He might even do a day trip with me to Napa, might talk him into Hot Springs as well (cause you know I am a junkie).... but I am really excited about it.

Samantha, I definitely do not appreciate how numb I have gotten in so many situations. I swear that I shut off and go on manual sometimes now.... it makes me sad and I really think that is part of the business that I dislike the most.

Ha Alfred, my Batman Man.... your wife WOULD hit you in the face and you'd fall in love with her. haha... you are great, you know - I cannot believe you still read this blog... it is really good to see you around on here.

I'm glad to see you are recovering well enough to blog again. Good to see your humor starting to come out again.

The Army is not an escape. It is a life decision, even if you only plan to do your four years and get out. Take it from a career airman. You are such a free spirit, I just can't see you in the armed services.

Please don't be too hard on us. We men don't know what you've been through in your life, and when we see a pretty girl, well, we just don't think with the big head sometimes. Just be honest and humane, and tell us that you are not interested. Most guys will take the hint without being hit over the head with a 2 x 4. And if being honest doesn't work, use the 2 x 4...

You'd be surprised how many times I wish that I had a 2x4... : )

You know, I have reasons for joining the army - and they are all ridiculous... but you are correct, I probably wouldn't do very well in the armed services....

I am doing much better now - Although Pat and I are not together - it is nice that we are talking again - the silence was just killing me.... things are good. San Fran is beautiful.

I wish you well in your efforts, because I feel sure you're going to have this problem for another 20 years, at least. Be patient with us, please...we are but weak and foolish men...

This was from an issue of Playboy, I think, 30 years ago...the scene is a bar...

He: "Baby, I'd love to get into your pants."

She (shaking her head): "No way, man. There's one asshole in there already."

The man with the Turkey on his head was a once in a lifetime chance, I am telling you - but you are correct, it is one more thing to look forward to. Ha. : )
