Mostly Malibu

While I did not get to drive up the coast (due to some BS rules dealing with the car rental place)... I did get to hang out in Malibu a lot this week..... which, in some cases.... is just as good, if not better than driving up the PCH...

First trip out to Malibu was about five days ago. I drove out to shoot with rockstar-lady Zoe Wiseman.... Zoe is a former nude-art model who switched sides of the camera a few years ago.... She also set up the Zoe-festival, which is a photography festival held out here in California every year. I friggin love that girl! She shot me with her Holga with a Polaroid backing. 'Tis the most magical little piece of camera gear I have seen in quite a long time... almost better than a Mamiya with a Digital backing... ha... almost....

Zoe and I shot on top of a windy mountain overlooking the city of Malibu - It was sunny out. I climbed on rocks, she shot pretty pictures. We attracted a caravan of female convicts all dressed up in their orange-jumpsuits about a quarter mile away (no joke)..... The girls were hootin and hollerin at my naked-self.... I was jumping around and trying to entertain them...

Saturday I was supposed to shoot with Sita Mae Edwards at Lenny's place, but in a very' Sita-type-moment' she forgot her lighting system... *sad face for me*. Instead, the two of us grabbed some dinner over on Larchmont. We talked about Fuck-Me shoes and boys.... Here another girl whom I love.... She is so genuine, it flows out of her eyeballs and her mouth and her soul... it is rejuvenating. If you are in the business of photography, I am telling you that your life will not be complete without meeting Sita. Her and I were going to spend a night going out on the town together this week but I ran out time - I ran out of time with a lot of things, actually.... Perhaps in April.

Headed back to Malibu again on Sunday morning - Shot some Glamour on the beach. Very tame, cute-sy stuff in my bathing suit. While I did have a good time with the photographer, I must say.... that I really loathe bathing suit shoots.... they make me uncomfortable a million times over - all those people on the beach - And I am just not a bikini model. I do not strive to be one. From now on, I am only going to do naked beach shoots or bust (or naked shoots with my bust...ha!).... Swimsuits! I do not like them Sam I am.

Shot with Sean Armenta, that same Sunday, after the Malibu shoot........ once again, another very hot skater boy.... totally gorgeous and talented and real and wonderful with his amazing colorful Mohawk *sigh* A little piece of me is completely in love with that boy. If I lived in LA, I would befriend him and become a Sean Armenta groupie. I would watch him skate and we would go out for sushi on the weekends.... Perhaps, I would even intern for him to learn all his photography skillz... that is how awesome he is.

Without offending anyone, the photos that Sean and I took - are simply some of my favorite photos to date..... classy, moody, romantic..

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, headed back to Cleveland Ohio.... I miss Patrick really badly, as I always do. But I cannot help but feel claustrophobic about going back to Ohio - I hope the snow melts soon...

Photos: Mark and I shooting girly stuff on the beach in Malibu! Sunny 75 degrees and counting!

I agree about bathing suits. They suck!

Okay, maybe you don't have the Auschwitz Diet body of the typical bikini model. But the shots accompanying the post were very REAL and quite pretty swimsuit shots. Know your limitations, but don't sell yourself short.

All in all, it sounds like it was a successful, & good time in California. One, dumb question: Did you get any sleep on this trip? Sounds like you were on the go constantly. Well, when one is having a good time, its easy to keep moving. Even though you do not like to wear them, the bathing suit pics came out great.
Sorry about this one, according to that Groundhog, we got another six weeks of this stuff. Damn rodent. Welcome back East & get some sleep.

Golly, you're so pretty on the beach. Not gonna lie. At least there were not naked dudes pleasuring themselves.

:)

Can't wait to see some of the Armenta photos. :)

Hope you made it home Ok and enjoy some r&r. Don't worry, spring's around the corner. You look great in a bathing suit, it only accentuates your natural perfect curves, personally I prefer a little mystery rather than have everything just out there but whatever floats your boat--you look good no matter what you wear (or don't). Hope to see more pics to warm us all up soon. :D

I dunno, you look pretty good in that bathing suit. You look better without it, sure, but...

Ex-nay on the bathing suits, eh? : )

I was not really fishing for compliments - but thanks for liking the photos... I guess they are kind of cute..... I love the mesh sweatshirt. A nice photographer in LA gave it to me.... he told me not to shoot in it, but he had to be crazy when he said that.

Wayyyy too cute to sit in the closet...

Aaron, sorry I didn't make it down to SD on this trip - I am going to make it up to you... Tracy and I are headed to SD after Coachella, just decided this morning... : ) Can we come get naked for you..!!! Your work is some of the most diverse I have in my portfolio - I know I said no swimsuits, but for you - I will give it another try... : )

And if you have room in your livingroom - Tracy and I could use some makeshift beds.... if you cannot host two hot chics with your roomies... let me know and I can see if I can couchsurf it via the website...

I agree, better without it... : )
