For all the ups and downs in the past few months, things seem to slowly be turning around - Time still moves slowly here in Rochester. One week here, feels a lot like a month or two (or three or four). Looking at myself, I am not really doing much with my life (But really, who is? What are you doing?). I am barely modeling (by choice), working locally, traveling once a month for modeling work ... Maybe a few more trips to LA and AZ, places that are warm and inviting this winter, but I feel detached from the modeling world..... I love photography... I love many of you who have photographed me in the past....but I haven't "felt" love for modeling in a very long time....
Rochester life is full of friends - Matthew, Kate, John, Molly, Aaron, Sarah, a mess of wonderful acquaintances. Campfires with Apple Cider. Dinner parties till midnight. Hiking in pretty places. Coffee houses. Live music. Dancing. Movie nights. Lux. Art galleries. First Friday. Matt and I paint now and then - Lots of great companionship, lots of wonderful memories being made every day. Haven't .... had a community of friends like this... ever.... it is really new and very welcome.

Rochester sounds nice. Population & rent costs in Long Island are slowly driving me & my fiance insane. Glad school is going well.
I will miss reading about all the trips & traveling the country, but I get it. Modelling like that may not keep it's charm forever. good luck to you =)
You sound like you can't believe your luck. Sure, it's been a shitty few months, but why shouldn't you have a bit of happiness NOW.
You've stopped moving for the first time in 3 years and that's bound to feel strange but, maybe it's time to say goodbye to London and be Jessica full-time. I know you still have photographers lining up to work with you and as much as you enjoy what you do,perhaps, for now,if you can afford to do it,it should be your new man that has exclusive access to London/Jes.
As for what I'm doing, thanks to you and I should say my wife(it's my latest challenge)I've registered to volunteer at a local art theatre. It'll probably only be a couple of nights a week, maybe just sweeping the floor and making tea, but it's a start. And as I said, that is, in a slightly round about way, thanks to you.
Stay happy. x
Ever given any thought to being on the other side of the camera? I'm not saying being a professional photographer, maybe just as a hobby. I mean you must have learned some tricks of the trade working with all those professionals.
It could be a way of keeping in touch with the modeling world without actually having to deal with the side you've been disenfranchised with, you could just stay at home and take pictures with your model friends that want to work with you.
The pics are very good
And this is one of the mildest autumns ever...
And no one deserves all that cider-filled happiness more than you honey. I love when my friends are happy; it's a little part of my life that is feeling good and helps me with my own anxieties. You shouldn't second-guess any of it. I'm so proud of you for accomplishing your goals (gradually -- as it should be).
I love upstate at this time of year (nothing quite like it). Of course, I could do w/out all this early snow but anyways it's gorgeous. I'm just letting you know I still read your blog and am always keeping up with my lil Sis. I wish you so much luck with the Grooming School, follow your dreams hun, they're yours for the taking if you reach out and hold tight. Happy Halloween doll, we need to talk about what you want for Xmas soon. Love ya!

I would hope that you don't completely stop modeling. You have something special to offer. Still it does sound like you are listening to your heart. That's always a good way to go. Good Luck.
It sounds like your happy. In the end, that is all that matters. Good for you!!! Personally, don't knock that time goes by slowly. We all have moments where we wish we had more. Others have mentioned it, why not become a photographer yourself? Gotta think you would be great it.
Don't be a pessimist. You are right, BUT sometimes, it is what it is. ENJOY every bit of it.
You're smiling again. And that puts one on my face.
Good for you Pally.
=)
I'm ecstatic for you. Hope you find continued happiness.
That's wonderful you are able to find quaint happiness in a fairly new world to you. Here's to your new independence.
Here's to your new found independence. I have followed your blog for the past year or so and it's very pleasing to see that you're happy, London. You've settled into a place that you're happy and comfortable, and that's absolutely beautiful to see.
